YouTube Star Jake Paul Ready for Rematch with Tyron Woodley

INTERNATIONAL: Social media influencer and YouTube Star Jake Paul and former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley said Thursday they are ready for this weekend’s boxing rematch. The 39-year-old former mixed martial arts star Woodley lost his professional boxing debut to Paul in August by split decision but was offered a rematch and Paul revealed a new championship belt dedicated to himself.

Jake Paul says, "This belt is for me. That's why it says 'This belt is for Jake Paul' right here. But this is the most valuable boxer belt designed by Alex Monopoly. We got a diamond Rolex on the side. A diamond Cartier on the side and then the Hermes Birkin bag sewed onto the side. For the most valuable boxer of this generation."

Tyron Woodley says, "My thoughts when I got the call were that things happen for a reason. I think that this is all a part of alignment, there's been times in my MMA career where a fight gets done and we go 'I need a break, I want a vacation and to stay down low' because a training camp takes a lot of energy, time and PR. Something told me this fight wasn't going to happen [between Paul and Fury], something didn't sit right with me about the Tommy Fury matchup. It didn't make a lot of sense, I didn't think people were as excited about the Tommy Fury fight as they were about me and Jake, so I flew my coaches into town at the end of September. I said 'I know this fight isn't going to happen, my spirit is telling me it's not going to happen' and we started training."

Paul was set to take on Tommy Fury, brother of heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, before Fury was forced to cancel the bout with what his camp said was a broken rib and a chest infection. Now Woodley has a chance to avenge his loss to Paul by signing on to fight Paul on short notice. Paul (4-0,3KO'S) won over some skeptics after he knocked out former UFC fighter Ben Askren and has expressed a desire to fight Canelo Alvarez and Conor McGregor.
